Are we a good fit?
I work with people who want to face reality with a sense of resilience and courage to heal and/or grow. Together we will create a safe space for you to learn how to take care of your vulnerabilities, as well as harness your inherent strengths and wisdom.
I often work with artists, caretakers, people experiencing heavy responsibilities, those experiencing challenging family dynamics, and those who feel they have had to forge their own way or aren’t easily understood.
We might explore spiritual themes to gain insight, process challenging emotions safely, ask confronting questions non-judgmentally, and/or brainstorm relevant resources and support systems custom tailored to your needs.
I believe therapy can be a transformative unbiased setting to receive support, and that it can even be fun.

Liberation Allied
If you navigate the world with one or more minoritized and historically marginalized identities, I am committed to standing beside you as an ally during your sessions:
Together, we will honor your unique experiences.
I hold myself accountable to the practice of equity, and I welcome your honest feedback throughout treatment.
I am human and will make mistakes, but I believe trust is earned, so I am dedicated to listening and learning in real-time to better support your needs.
Within our therapeutic relationship, it is entirely safe to explore the painful impacts of injustice and mistreatment. Your feelings about reality will be met with respect and curiosity. We can explore appropriate ways to care for them and respond to them as you navigate barriers or challenges.
My goal is to help you advocate for yourself, find moments of rest, and build a strong support system. Together, we can co-create a collaborative, safe space for your healing and growth.
I am dedicated to supporting clients whose therapeutic goals include fostering relationship safety and developing robust allyship toward their loved ones.
Frequently Asked Questions
I do not currently accept insurance.
Reasoning: I desire to maintain flexibility in session length, treatment length, and diagnosing, to cater to the client’s individual therapeutic needs and preferences. I intend to charge a predictable fee that does not change unexpectedly. Instead, I offer sliding scale availability to address accessibility and the ongoing financial needs of myself and my clients.
Do you take insurance?

I use the green bottle method to negotiate with clients about an appropriate fee that meets the needs of their current circumstances. If I am unable to accommodate someone due to my own financial constraints, I support folks by offering referral options. Whether or not we are able to work together, I do believe everyone deserves quality care, and I enjoy supporting people to advocate for their needs and find useful resources.
How do you determine an appropriate fee for sliding scale?

“Ambivalence is simultaneously wanting and not wanting something, or wanting both of two incompatible things. It has been human nature since the dawn of time.”
“People are the undisputed experts on themselves. No one has been with them longer, or knows them better than they do themselves.”
― William R. Miller, Motivational Interviewing: Helping People Change
“The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion.”
Albert Camus from his essay The Myth of Sisyphus.
“Emotions are at the nexus of thought and action, of self and other, of person and environment, of biology and culture. Emotion is a term that evokes many connotations, from the way we “feel” to the ways our lives are integrated across time.”
― Diana Fosha, The Healing Power of Emotion: Affective Neuroscience, Development & Clinical Practice
